67-72 Tailgate latch kit

This is a kit that replaces your factory tailgate latch mechanism with more modern latches for smoother and easier operation.

These kits will come with everything you need to swap out your old tailgate hardware to this new kit.

The kit reuses your factory handle and rods that connect the handle to the latches.

Installation requires ZERO welding. Some trimming is required on the tailgate itself. You will also need to drill a hole in the tailgate jamb to install the provided riv-nut, and lastly a hole in the bedside jamb for the striker mount. A template is provided for the trimming, and the brackets mount to existing holes and will locate the additional holes.

Overall, this is a very simple install! 

Parts now come coated in a zinc finish!!!
